Working Online – Info and Tips


If you are having issues using a CISD Chromebook, make sure you have logged into your internet BEFORE trying to login to SSO. If you borrowed a hotspot, make sure you have set up the hotspot and that it is turned on before using your Chromebook.

To find your internet or hotspot, locate the button on the bottom right corner of your login screen (where the clock is located). Click on it, then click on the wireless options. Select your internet or hotspot name and type in your password if needed. Once you’ve verified that you’re on the internet, login to your SSO portal.


Students can login to their SSO portal by going to or by visiting and clicking the SSO button in the upper right hand corner.

Students will use their username and password to login to the SSO portal. You can email any of your student’s teachers and they can look up the information for you.

Parents can login to canvas here or by using links on the CISD or Irons website. It is best for students to login to Canvas by clicking on the link in their SSO portal.

Parents will login to Canvas using their Parent Access account login information. The username and password for Canvas and Parent Access are the same. Please know that you will not be able to see everything that your child can see. Parents are just observers in Canvas.

If you have technical difficulties with Canvas, please contact the teacher who is in charge of the course you are having trouble with. If they are unable to answer your question, you may also email the district for help at


Students should use the Google Drive link in their SSO portal to access their Google Drive. If your student is trying to access a Google Doc that was linked from Canvas and are receiving a notification that they do not have access, it usually means that someone else is logged into Google Chrome. That person will need to log out of their account.


Conroe ISD will have a Technologhy Help Desk to assist teachers, students, parents, and guardians with Canvas, Seesaw, Parent Access, or Student Access. The Help Desk is available weekdays beginning Monday, August 10th, from 7:30 AM until 9:00 PM. You may reach the Help Desk by emailing or by calling 936-709-7658. Canvas users can also click the ‘Help’ button prior to logging in for assisstance.

Student having problems opening Goolgle apps from Canvas? Have them try this and see if it helps.

1. Make sure no one else is logged into Google on the device
2. Login to SSO portal
3. Click on Google Drive (keep tab open just in case it’s needed)
4. Click on Canvas
